1.4 mmol/L: The Lifeline for Business Owners

For busy entrepreneurs, data and targets are at the heart of business decisions. However, while pursuing growth, many neglect their most vital asset: “Biological Capital.”

According to reports from the World Health Organization (WHO), Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) remains the world’s leading killer. In 2021 alone, approximately 19.41 million people died from CVD worldwide. Alarmingly, these diseases are increasingly affecting younger populations.

Reports from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) reveal:

• Local Reality: In Malaysia, the average age of heart attack patients is only 58.7 years, with nearly a quarter under the age of 50.
• Silent Risk: Approximately 18.1% of adults have hypercholesterolemia but are unaware of it.

New Medical Standards: Based on the “2023 Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) for Dyslipidaemia Management,” for “Very High Risk” individuals, the target for LDL-C (Bad Cholesterol) must be kept ≤ 1.4 mmol/L. This is no longer just a suggestion; it is a mandatory risk-control strategy for business owners to avoid sudden cardiac events.
